Daily Devotional:
The God Who Restores
“I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten.”
Joel 2:25
Redemption is the heartbeat of God.
It’s not just forgiveness for the wrong it’s restoration of what was lost because of it. The enemy steals, guilt corrodes, time slips away. But God is the only one who can hand back years.
Maybe you wasted seasons running the wrong direction. Maybe pain or pride burned bridges you can’t rebuild on your own. Redemption is God taking that rubble and making something stronger than the original structure.
He doesn’t simply pull you out of the pit, He fills the pit and builds a garden on top of it.
The cross wasn’t a rescue plan thrown together at the last minute, it was the blueprint of restoration from before the foundation of the world. That means nothing in your story is beyond rerouting. You are not stuck where you fell. Grace doesn’t rewind time, it transforms it.
The scars remain only as proof that healing happened.
My Prayer
Father, Thank You that Your mercy is bigger than my past. Then all my mistakes.
Redeem the wasted time, the broken choices, the people I hurt and the pieces I can’t fix.
Write new beginnings over old endings.
Teach me to believe restoration is not a dream, it’s Your promise.
Help me walk forward as someone already forgiven, already reclaimed. In Jesus name, Amen.
