Thank you, @rrhoover, for starting such an iconic company and trusting me with its next chapter. 12-years in shouldn't feel like a startup, but it 100% does. Check out the chart - We're seeing an exciting inflection point with the new wave of AI-powered apps! And yet...we're just getting started. Product Hunt has the potential to be much, much more than it is now - it can be the place where you find the best products, period. There's more need than ever for a community-driven guide to which apps are actually good and useful. With founder reviews, in-depth reviews, and product forums, we're building it. Stay tuned!
Today is Product Hunt's 12-year anniversary. It started with a tweet and has become a global launchpad for founders and makers. Pretty cool to see so many now-household names—Notion, Deel, Loom, Ramp, Figma—launch their v1s on the platform. But we've always tried to be a voice for the "little guy." The majority of what you see on PH isn't from large companies and most aren't VC-funded. My goal was to create a positive place where anyone can share what they made and get support, whether you're a second-time founder in SF or a teen in Bengaluru shipping their first app. 12 years in, PH is older than some of the people launching on the site lol. And more founders are launching today than ever before. We started to see a significant upswing in 2023 shortly after GPT-3.5's release. The original thesis: As it becomes more accessible to turn ideas into reality, more people will ship products. That's playing out at an accelerating pace with AI. The next few years will be v interesting. Shoutout to @rajivayyangar and the team for carrying the torch. :)

iiseeme featured on PH today!
Funniest implementation of AI yet? iiseeme turns your selfie into a grid of faces that track your mouse no matter where it goes.

A bunch of former "Virtual Office" founders met up IRL! Since shutting down Tandem, lots of my former rivals have become friends, and the evening was an absolute delight. Some highlights:

flask.do is officially product of the month on ProductHunt! Something I built solo, with no investments, no team has beaten big tech companies and startups that raised millions. Build cool shit, and have fun doing it. This is what tech is really about
Introducing Flask. It's Notion + Loom, but for video. Launching today on ProductHunt (link below) Spent the last 8 months building it because I hated Adobe's Frame,io
me: says nothing, not a single word every LLM: you're absolutely right!

I’m working 12/15 hours a day, I schedule my Neo, I come home to clean folded towels on the bed. Idk who doesn’t want that. Who cares…. NEO WORLDWIDE

The @cursor_ai team just dropped Cursor 2.0 and it's their biggest update yet TLDR: They built their own brain while the rest are still renting one.
