And the priest in Pinocchio and Hermann in Pacific Rim
A detail I particularly enjoy in Frankenstein is recognizing Burn Gorman, who also appears in Crimson Peak. He plays an executioner in Frankenstein (left) and the private investigator in Crimson Peak (right)

Phenomenal underemployed by others, GDT…

Since Torchwood, he became a character actor to the point people doesn't even realize it's him.

And he looks like a man who could have lived in the 1880s.

Amazingly underrated actor. His work was also impressive in Turn!

Saw him play Bill Sykes in Oliver the musical. I saw audience members physically jump (including myself) when he raised his voice. Fantastic actor.

Dumb question, but were some of the Frankenstein sets (especially in the tower) based on some of the blueprints for Crimson Peak sets? The tower’s main entrance and the sewer/mortuary where Dr. F first chains the creature struck me as sharing very similar footprints.

I love the dynamic between his and Charlie Day's character in Pacific Rim. Big fan of those character types coming together at the end for a common goal

His best work was as Charlie Bluhdorn in "The Offer" !!

I don’t ever want to see you make Lovecraft now. Through all of the bleak awfulness in the world you bring a warmth and underlying love that we need. And niceness should never be in Lovecraft. We are the monsters, not the other.

Ver este post (como española) me hizo sonreír pensando en un qrt de @realgdt listando todos los cameos de Santiago Segura 😄

He's a wonderfully compelling actor. I particularly like his villainous turn in season 4 of the expanse.

There are SO MANY little details in Frankenstein for the horror film buff, the intellectual historian, the science historian, the philosopher, the film critic, the classicist…You name it. And it’s not all visual. It’s the writing eg “Reminds me of a Martyrdom painting”

He’s great in Pacific Rim! I saw FRANKENSTEIN last night . Unfortunately not in a theater but I hope to see the 35 mm print soon !!! Maestro what a film. What an experience . The film is fantastical . Heartbreaking . How cruel humans are to those who they don’t understand

If you could direct another Hellboy movie, which character, hero or villain, would you cast Burn Gorman to play?

Love Burn. Any Doug Jones cameos?

Gorman is a great character actor. I think he was born to play crazy Dickensian looking characters.

I love him, he's sort of the Brad Dourif of his generation - great sensibilities for playing strange, sinister characters.

I feel like I first noticed him in Dark Knight Rises where he has a fantastic face as an evil toady.

I missed Ron Perlman and Doug Jones. Are they fetishes, perhaps?

Bro Gorman is not only goated at acting, he can beatbox 😻😻

Did you find a place to sneak Ron Pearlman in?

I love him ! But even though I knew he was in the film beforehand I couldn't recognize him 😭 But the executioner was very peculiar and stayed in my mind. I guess my mind was better than my brain 😅
