Star Wars historians when they realize they can literally just watch a space battle that happened thousands of years ago by simply traveling through hyperspace to somewhere thousands of lightyears from where it happened.

"No Kings!" *40 years in congress*
Rep. Nancy Pelosi, who made history as the nation’s first female speaker of the House and twice served in that top job, will not seek re-election to Congress in 2026. The powerful California Democrat, now 85, led her party in the House for two decades — from 2002 to 2022. Her decision will spark a fierce contest for her liberal, deep-blue San Francisco seat at a moment when Democrats across the country are embracing a new generation of leaders. nbcnews.app.link/TFSxDt3M4Xb

I don't know anyone in real life— Republican or Democrat— who actually likes Nancy Pelosi. For everyone, she's the first person who comes to mind when they hear the term "corrupt politician". The fact that she kept getting re-elected tells me California has rigged elections.

When a corporation colludes with the government to sidestep regulations or impose legislation to harm their competitors, that's not capitalism. Actually, that's the exact opposite of capitalism because it foregoes free market forces entirely, and that "private" company becomes an unofficial branch of government which no one voted for. It's basically central planning with extra steps. On paper, the government is supposed to prevent the formation of monopolies. In practice, it facilitates them.

1) The ad wasn't promoting white supremacy. It was a joke about Sydney Sweeney having "good genes" because she's attractive. 2) The people pretending to be mad about it don't genuinely believe it was promoting white supremacy. They're just trying to turn someone into their villain of the week so they can jump on the bandwagon of condemning them and virtue signal, like we've seen them do over and over for the past twenty years. 3) Since we all know that's what this is really about, Sydney Sweeney is doing the right thing by refusing to apologize. She knows that if she does, you people will see that as an admission of guilt, and then it will become like blood in the water. You don't want an apology. You want a windmill to tilt at. 4) Fuck off.
Sydney Sweeney refuses to disavow “joking about” White people’s “genetic superiority” in relation to Sweeney’s “Great Jeans” ad. Follow: @AFpost

The thing about the laser bow is one might argue the Predators use intentionally impractical weapons because they take strength and skill to use, so being good with one is like a mark of a good hunter, but then you remember they have shoulder-mounted canons that aim for them.

Dek has a laser bow which I think he uses exactly once.

The planet, Genna, is covered in dangerous wildlife, and the Weyland-Yutani corporation has sent a team of androids to capture the Kalisk, the same monster Dek is trying to kill. They're all androids so when they all get slaughtered at the end, they can still have a PG-13 rating.

In case you thought I was joking about the cutesy animal sidekick, here's a picture of it. It's some kind of monkey lizard thing.
The reason Dek looks like that, with the fucking side shave, is he's deformed. That's the actual in-universe explanation. The other Predators don't look like him. He's also only about as big as a human. He's an outcast because his clan sees him as small and weak.
The android character, Thia, is like a silly cartoon character who never shuts up, but the Predator, Dek, has to carry her around because she knows how to find the monster he wants to kill (the Kalisk), and is constantly annoyed by her, but they eventually become friends.

I just saw Predator: Badlands. It was a tonal bait-and-switch. The trailers made it look like it was gonna be dark and serious, but it's more like a goofy Marvel movie, complete with a cutesy animal sidekick who doesn't appear in any of the trailers that I can remember.
Movie about a Predator with really bad eyesight who gets lost at a furry convention.
