Today, we remember the animals who served beside soldiers โ€” loyal, brave, and silent heroes ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿด ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿซ I SPOKE TO YOU IN WHISPERS by Neil Andrew I spoke to you in whispers As shells made the ground beneath us quake We both trembled in that crater A toxic muddy bloody lake I spoke to you and pulled your ears To try and quell your fearful eye As bullets whizzed through the raindrops And we watched the men around us die I spoke to you in stable tones A quiet tranquil voice At least I volunteered to fight You didn't get to make the choice I spoke to you of old times Perhaps you went before the plough And pulled the haycart from the meadow Far from where we're dying now I spoke to you of grooming Of when the ploughman made you shine Not the shrapnel wounds and bleeding flanks Mane filled with mud and wire and grime I spoke to you of courage As gas filled the Flanders air Watched you struggle in the mud Harness acting like a snare I spoke to you of peaceful fields Grazing beneath a setting sun Time to rest your torn and tired body Your working day is done I spoke to you of promises If from this maelstrom I survive By pen and prose and poetry I'll keep your sacrifice alive I spoke to you of legacy For when this hellish time is through All those who hauled or charged or carried Will be regarded heroes too I spoke to you in dulcet tones Your eye told me you understood As I squeezed my trigger to bring you peace The the only way I could And I spoke to you in whispers..... We will remember them ๐Ÿ’œ

Yesterday we shared screenshots of Zuriโ€™s birth at the Pittsburgh Zoo from the 2012 documentary Elefamilia. But Zuriโ€™s isnโ€™t the only unnatural birth recorded in the film. Savanna is also shown giving birth to Angeline ~ her foot chained, zoo handlers commanding her to lay down as they try to drag her newborn away. When we filed our lawsuit in Pittsburgh, we also submitted a temporary restraining order to stop the transfer of Zuri and her sister Victoria to the zooโ€™s breeding facility. Today (Monday) the court will decide whether to grant that order ~ a critical step that could keep Zuri and Victoria from being sent away to be used for breeding while our fight for their freedom continues. #FreeThePittsburghElephants ๐Ÿฉถ๐Ÿ˜ ๐ŸŽฆ Credit: NonHuman Rights Project.

If youโ€™ve served our country, you shouldnโ€™t have to beg for basic help - what an insult it is for tens of thousands of veterans. We need a world-class veteran support system - this could be entirely funded through diverting a fraction of foreign aid. That meansโ€ฆ A real veteran care service inside the NHS - guaranteed fast-track treatment and mental health support. Proper ring fenced housing priority funds for veterans in every local authority. A robust employment fund to retrain and reintegrate those leaving the forces (including a comprehensive scheme to help veterans into police/immigration enforcement field roles). We can ensure that not a single veteran is living on the streets. A fraction of the foreign aid budget would pay for all of it. Easily, over and over. No more financing for Kenyan gender lectures or Bangladeshi shrimp farms - use those funds to create a best in class veteran support network. Before anyone asks, I've put my money where my mouth is. I donated my entire net MP salary this month to the Poppy Appeal in Great Yarmouth. Actions over words. Iโ€™ve officially put this proposal to the Prime Minister. It feels like something the entire country could get behind.

John, when I was on Womanโ€™s Hour I said that lesbians were women and the presenter apologised to listeners for my offensive views. The BBC no longer thinks truth matters.

One of my abusers entered the uk illegally and then went on to groom children one of them been myself when I was 12/13 years old ! He now has the right to stay in England!!! If you come to our country illegally and commit any crime especially against women and children send them back and let their country deal with them and if they die then so be it itโ€™s the least they deserve!

A normal response is โ€œisnโ€™t this awful, those poor children.โ€ Stop using child sex crimes to undermine Britains grooming gang issue you freak.
Multiple child sex offenders have been jailed for a combined total of 100 years. Zero tweets or retweets from Rupert Low, Elon Musk, Tommy Robinson, Basil the Great and others? What do you notice offenders? ๐Ÿค”
