i think hyperliquid is a really awesome concept and well-executed product - I'm wondering, if somebody wanted to recreate the concept but use an open source stack that has roll-up like built-in security and is battle tested, what's the best option? OP/arbi stack? Or are there options with even better performance without compromising security and hardness?

Hyperliquid runs off its own custom L1 out of necessity, not because the team wanted to capture an L1 premium like some people think. Things like oracle updates & funding rate payments being atomic actions at the start of each block just can’t be done with an L2 stack.

Starknet Stack 1. Most battle tested (settled over $1 trillion) 2. Possible to reduce withdrawal times to a few minutes 3. 10-100x cheaper than any other ZK Stack ZK-Hyperliquid is real, announcing things very soon!

Probably the @sovereign_labs stack

I asked a software developer friend this very same question last week... his answer shocked me: "we can't... we don't know how to do it" ...

there are many high performance + high security rollup frameworks (@arbitrum, @abundance_xyz, @sovereign_labs, @conduitxyz G2, & more) but only one high performance + high security DA layer.. @celestia

Def Starknet, tech safest and most battle tested. Also best scale. The tech behind dydx v3, Paradex and Extended, which is about to launch in a few weeks.

OP/arbi stacks are limited performance and DA couldn’t choose eth blobs Same reasons HL built its own L1 Industry has to do better if we want these dedicated products to work on decentralized systems On Solana we’re working to give apps these tools directly on mainnet or at least atomically compostable from other layers

@RuneKek this is exactly what Caldera can help with :) We help teams launch their own dedicated chains. DM me

It's now possible to do, but very hard to get right, though. We've built the stack at @rise_chain. Here are some numbers on the economics of it:

@ZKsync stack: 1) Unmatched security and hardness of ZK proofs. 2) Most mature, battle tested, high-perf zkEVM. 3) Fast finality, fast direct access to L1 liquidity. 4) Chain-level privacy. Happy to walk you through and offer white-glove support.

OP Stack is probably the stack that has had the most contributions, reviews, etc., and today it has multiple teams working on new versions (ZK-based, moving away from the EVM, etc.). No other stack is in such a strong position. Other stacks claim that their proving/throughput capabilities are X times better in certain metrics, but their code maturity is still behind in many aspects. People seeking performance with the rest in mind should look also at Starkware

we can help @RuneKek making this happen with @conduitxyz we built together with polygon a custom framework on top of OP with interop embeeded in via agglayer (launching with Katana soon) x.com/conduitxyz/status/1927… we helped Plume leader in RWA to support their custom stack with Arbitrum x.com/conduitxyz/status/1930… we are helping with Converge/Ethena too happy to chat ;)
Coming soon to mainnet: @katana ⚔️ A new rollup incubated by @GSR_io and @0xPolygon Labs. Katana runs on @Agglayer CDK, powered by the complete Conduit stack: Rollup Platform, G2 Sequencer, and Conduit Developer Suite. Why Katana makes Agglayer a better place to build 🧵

Do you even get how breathtaking the technical achievements Hyperliquid has done *so far* are “How can I get a Walmart version of this never done before tech but have it free and also better?”

NEAR, can literally ship it with EVM/SVM as a smart contract on NEAR with built in intents and unified liquidity. 600 ms block time with instant finality.

Probably @zksync (which @gluk64 ) can shill you on, because you have much more scalability and flexibility with a proof based system. If you wanted something without a prover, maybe something experimental like @rise_chain (still likely too early and theoretical for production though)

Clobs on blobs powered by @RiscZero. Especially since you want it to be fully open source and battle tested. Prove off chain execution, aggregate tx and then settle on-chain.

OP is probably the most secure and battle tested but the problem that would continue to eat you is settlement times. I always get surprised how much TVL is on superchain, easy to forget base and uni

@AltiusLabs is building a high-performance modular execution layer that could work with rollup stacks, L1 architectures, other modular solutions like @celestia and @RollkitDev , to bring HyperCore-level performance with native EVM compatibility.
