This purchase includes the debt from banks and bond markets. However, that debt does not sit on Blackrock's books it sits with the company they just bought, the company not the asset manager, has to pay it back. The debt is passed on to you, the consumer in the form of higher bills. @Keir_Starmer knows this, which is why he and @RachelReevesMP refuse to tax predatory corporations like Blackrock properly. But they are more than happy to raise your income taxes on top of the increased bills you pay. This is not economic growth for everyone, as Labour like to constantly remind us of. It is an extraction machine designed for the super-rich to punch down on critical infrastructure within the public sector, in order to ultimately privatise it. It's a giant Ponzi Scheme.
