I've just moved my website from @awscloud to @digitalocean It took some time (about 1,5 hours), but with the help of @OpenAI it was not so hard. I have already saved ~ $65/month; the next step is to move the database to save an extra $15/month. Crazy, huh? #buildinpublic

I solved this problem, eventually. What did I? I used Claude to refactor its own code, and after several iterations, it started looking like good, readable, meaningful, and useful code. #buildinpublic #ai
I can't stand the code Claude is generating. It's so bad and requires so much time to refactor, so I have a heavy dilemma: dig into this torture or write the code on my own, from scratch? 🤔 #buildinpublic #ai

Is there any good converter/3d online editor that takes an image and generates an accurate model from it? I tried meshy and my eyes are full of tears when I look at the result... #ai #3dmodeling

Moving from AWS EB to DO was a big save, but I faced other, maybe more serious problems. How do I provide fast, zero downtime during deployment? How to roll back everything if something went wrong? How to make sure all new Python packages are installed? If somebody is hosting your Python/Flask apps on DO, how do you provide the proper and safe CI workflow? I tried to use the script generated by ChatGPT, but it was not working properly, broke everything (surprise, surprise!), and I had to re-run everything manually. #buildinpublic

I've been in web development for almost 20 years. And still, I struggle with HTML. 😭 Frameworks help, but to some extent. Who else is like me? 😆 #buildinpublic #WebDev #HTML

Why does everyone know Dorsey but nobody mentions Biz Stone? 🤔I feel this is kinda unfair
Ummm, Jack Dorsey’s Twitter was better wasn’t it? Like… I’m not seeing any more “truth” on this platform since Elon took over. But I’m seeing plenty more division being sown, and rage baiting. Where’s the upside?

Oh, my. So tru I always feel that the no DMs, no comments "helping out", and of course, no cold emails wouldn't work just because of this reason - their actual reason is always to sell, even if they say "I'm not going to sell anything". Same about blogs, tweets, etc.
Most brand blogs are a waste of time. Not because content doesn’t work - but because you’re doing it wrong. Keyword sausage machines, “Admin” bylines, cautious filler… it’s industrialised mediocrity, and it serves no purpose. jonoalderson.com/conjecture/…

Oh crap, now I understand everything. These guys including @chddaniel created a wrapper over @e2b and they didn't like that I noticed it. As this guy has power (he happens to be a moderator of the SaaS reddit sub), he just kicked me out. #buildinpublic
Just got banned for this comment from the SaaS reddit sub. Well, @Reddit and especially that sub are NOT a territory where everybody can express their opinion. I saw a lot of promotions there, and same time, very unfair bans and removals. Time to move on. #buildinpublic

There are several things most people are obsessed with. I simply don't understand why. They are, for example: - asynchronous calls - "Notion-like" editing - No paid ads as marketing. Can somebody explain why??
How do you find anything on @NotionHQ ? I found the search extremely difficult if I don't remember the exact terms 🙁

Does anybody know a service where I can test different models for different purposes, say, I want to test text prompts, get structured output, and generate images? All services I tried so far work with a restricted number of models, no comparison chart. I need to see the result, the performance metrics, and the cost. Any recommendations? #buildinpublic #LLMs

Building in public isn’t about bragging. It’s about showing up → sharing → connecting. That’s how opportunities find you. But I think in this community there is nothing doing these 😅. Everyone is shit posting junk

This cake may not win the beauty tournament, but it's crazy delicious. 🤯 Light, juicy layers with a gentle coffee tint, with a light, not-too-sweet soft custard between. I stupidly can't stop. Tiramisu cake, 5 hours, but it's worth it. #buildinpublic #baking

While still working on my existing products, a new endeavor started: the automated directory submission platform: swiftsubmit.co I'll be honest with you: it turned out to be not as easy as I thought before I started, but I hope I'll still launch soon. #buildinpublic

Due to @awscloud new policy, I can't use their free tier anymore. So, I moved to @digitalocean - with a fear of struggling with Linux, CLI, and such. It turned out that launching a Flask app is so easy there... much easier and faster, including SSL! OMG😮 #buildinpublic
