The Channel is now an open waterway policed by paperwork. Traffickers decide who enters, not the state. The Royal Navy and Border Force have been reduced to an escort service – ferrying arrivals ashore, handing them over to hotels, and calling it humanitarian duty. It's theatre masquerading as policy. The numbers tell the real story. Forty thousand this year means the system isn't failing – it's functioning exactly as designed. Ministers make statements, caseworkers tick boxes, NGOs file lawsuits, and the courts block removals. Everyone gets paid, everyone keeps their moral halo, and the boats keep coming. This is intent, not incompetence: cheap labour for business, moral vanity for the liberal class, new voter blocs for the political Left, and silence for anyone who dares call it what it is – demographic engineering under the banner of compassion.
