When does "living in the moment" become "screwing your future self"? I talked to a 40-year-old guy yesterday. Let's call him Max. He travels internationally 3-4 times a year. Domestically? At least 5 times. His life looks amazing. He has $0 invested for his future. Zero. He's living for the moment and sacrificing his entire future for it. This isn't about shaming him. It's a warning. The lifestyle you "can afford" today is a trap if it costs you your freedom tomorrow. Don't wake up at 45 with a passport full of stamps and a bank account full of regrets.
