New: Barricaded Suspect Falls Through Ceiling Into SWAT’s Arms in Indian River County Deputies tracked a stolen Ford F-350 to a home on Melrose Lane, where 36-year-old Keith Rodgers barricaded himself after fleeing inside. Due to his criminal history and past claims he’d “get into a shootout before going back to jail,” SWAT and crisis negotiators were called in. Rodgers was believed to be hiding in the attic, but after several hours he fell through the ceiling and landed directly in the arms of SWAT officers, who took him into custody. He now faces multiple felony charges in Indian River and Osceola Counties.
