I stand with @BernieSanders. This is not about politics, but about real people. It's not about securing a vote for show, but preventing premium hikes for Americans who are scared of what that will mean for them.

Dear @SenateDems, You're considering voting for something today that will cause a RUPTURE in the Democratic party. It will HURT Democrats now and next year. You are getting NOTHING for this vote except another empty PROMISE from Trump/Republicans. DO. NOT. DO. THIS.

Americans blame Republicans for the government shutdown. Failing to extend ACA subsidies is how we got here. If Democrats cave without getting any concessions, this will all have been for nothing. Millions will lose health care--and Dems will own it. DO NOT CONCEDE AN INCH.

Caving on the shutdown won’t make you “moderate.” It makes you WEAK! Giving Republicans what they want for NOTHING more than a “promise” of a vote and risking millions of Americans’ healthcare isn’t compromise—it’s surrender and it’s the most RADICAL thing you could do in this moment. Voters already showed where they stand. Now it’s time for DEMOCRATS TO FIGHT!!!
