Giving shelter to Afghans hasn’t worked well, whether in Pakistan or Western countries. They often don’t blend into the host country and stay loyal to the Taliban regime led Afghanistan, which they called terrible when seeking asylum.
Instead, they act as a hidden threat, harming the host country’s security. Now, groups like
#ISIS have reached the
#US,
#Germany, France and
#UK through settlement visas because these countries’ legal systems overlook security risks and allow them in.
These uncontrolled entries have caused problems like immigration riots, hate, and warlike behavior.
The Afghan diaspora is a key supporter of the Taliban regime, whom they once criticized as cruel and rights-violating including women rights in their settlement claims .
Now settled, they ignore the Taliban’s poor record on women’s rights and push for the regime’s acceptance.
#Pakistan should send these economic migrants back to Afghanistan as quickly and humanely as possible.
Afghan female journalist Hasina Rafi says she has lived for three months under the rain in Islamabad with hundreds of women and children who fled Taliban threats. We have no support, no shelter, & now face deportation by Pakistani police, while UNHCR and others countries silent.
