Most science degrees never require students to learn how to communicate their work publicly. That fuels confusion, mistrust, + missed chances to protect lives. Let's end it. Sign the petition to make communication training a STEM degree requirement. bit.ly/3LbnfHB

Instead of asking "is it tall girl friendly" why don't you just measure your inseam and check to see if the measurements match (and if it's not listed, don't buy from brands that hide valuable fit info from you)!

My SNAP benefits for November arrived. Spreading word for others to check your balances as well. I don't want to assume everyone is getting theirs, but I can confirm that mine arrived.

Guys, the term "chattel slavery" was invented for a reason. Slavery existed for thousands of years. To say that that Africans experienced "slavery" does not fully encapsulate the level of brutality & marginalization Africans experienced.

4 days out from my life-changing surgery, @Aetna has denied the appeal for my brain surgery. to be clear, when i signed up to aetna months ago, the coordinator had confirmed they would cover this surgery. then, a week ago, they said the surgery was too experimental/elective and denied coverage. we appealed. that appeal was just denied today. now, my neurosurgeon is trying to do a peer-to-peer consult with someone at aetna to explain why i need it so we don’t lose the surgery date on monday morning. aetna is not being responsive. this is sadistic and a violation of basic trust. please spread this so they can’t ignore it. they may not care if i live or die but people should know just what kind of company they’re dealing with. and please pray they are able to have a peer-to-peer consult with my neurosurgeon and have a change of heart.

You voted against a measure that would give ALL kids food because YOUR kid doesn’t need it. Which is the problem with stances like this. Literally anything could happen and your situation could change drastically. But your kid would still be fed in school. You think of this measure as a waste of money when it’s food insurance for everyone. Step outside of your financial ivory tower and think critically for a change.
I voted against this. I simply don't think every single public school kid needs free meals. My family is well-off enough to pay for our daughter's food. I don't want taxpayers covering it. That's an utter waste. I know the argument is that it reduces stigma for poor kids who do need free lunch. That's just total bullshit. I'm sorry, but kids are still going to know who is relatively richer than others even if everyone gets free lunch. It's a total misuse of taxpayer dollars & doesn't actually help poor people.

ppl be so scared to say black women cause there is a plethora of poc in those casts but no black women
