Claude 3.5 was fast and reliable 90% of the time. Newer models are reliable, but slow. I'm back to Claude 3.5.
You can live wherever the fuck you want but don't call yourself a patriot anymore. Which is fine by the way.
If I was Nik I would have absolutely made the same decision. 18% holding of Revolut. Company will be worth $200BN without a doubt. $36BN position at that price. His cap gains bill alone would be $8BN-$10BN. Now in the UAE it will be $0. The Labour government has to realise we are in a global war for talent. Sad and mega loss for the UK.
Don't do this. Understanding the code is much more important than no repetition. The beauty of tailwind is that you have the styles written DIRECTLY IN THE ELEMENT. No matter if any repetition or not.
If you're using Tailwind, don't sleep on child selectors. They clean up your styles and eliminate repetition. Vibe coding agents aren't smart enough to do this. (if you're using CSS, keep scrolling)

How @cursor_ai is making me spend 50$ in one request "Now I'll create the NewFeature.tsx modal component and update the Current.tsx file. Let me start by creating the modal component:" "Now I need to update the Current.tsx file to integrate the NewFeature.tsx modal. I'll add the necessary imports, state, and handlers:" "Now I need to create the NewFeature.tsx component first and then update the Current.tsx file. Let me create the modal:" "Now I need to update the Current.tsx file to integrate the NewFeature.tsx. Let me make the necessary changes:" this is non stop

Don't blame indie hacking for your failure. Just blame yourself. You failed because 1. Your idea is shit 2. You didn't put enough energy in your work 3. You chose the wrong niche 4. Your marketing channel is not the good one 5. It's not the good time yet for your idea 6. PUT MORE EFFORTS IN MARKETING for god sake 7. Your product sucks 8. Your design sucks 9. You suck. Well, you don't actually suck, but what you did in this startup sucked. No big deal, you learn, it's part of any trip you'll take in your life. You don't become number one without trying and sucking. 10. You try to sell to people with no money 11. Nobody gives a damn shit about what you want to sell. Shit sweets? We are not in Hogwarts, eat them yourself. 12. You didn't pivot 13. You didn't listen to your users 14. You are too lazy Any reason you chose here can be summarised in one: if you failed, it's your fault, not the rest of the world's. Now, two options 1. Go do something else 2. GET UP AND KEEP FIGHTING
what did I miss in august from indie hacking and web dev (JS) communities ? @grok
BEST CHROME EXTENSION EVER I've installed a Chrome extension that changes all the iterations of "President" by "Proutident", "Ministre" by "Miniprout" It also changes the letter "pt" with "prout", which changes my life forever Note: prout means fart

THIS IS MY FIRST MRR 🤩 Note to newbies: a MRR is not a first time payment - the second R is for Recurring. A MRR is for at LEAST a second time payment. What that means ? THAT THIS IS MY SECOND TIME PAYMENT 🤩🤩🤩 Total turnover for now: €7.18
Claude 4 is getting dumb. I felt Claude 3.5 was getting dumb last July 24 too. Is it all about the summer? AI are as lazy as human and want holidays? wtf
I hate the use of “insane”, it is always over exaggerated, and shows a lack of imagination Find other words people
If you’re into anything serious, that requires perseverance, be ready for - failure - deception - fatigue This is what means hard work. I know no success without going through those states. I mean success in sports, business, art, even long living marriage. This is also called experience.

local classic i18n doesn't help to ship fast, you need to - implement - be careful about translations management - handle fucking keys all around, meaning you have no clue what is the real content, making it a nightmare to debug for me, it always ended up in a single choice: don't do i18n unless you're forced too... ...until I HAD to do it, then I built i18n-keyless: problem solved - implementation in 5 minutes (true story, that's why I'm offering the setup if you go for it) - no keys, just natural language - no translation management - engagement increased by 200% now I put i18n in every app I start to build
Replying to @dstrouthou
for early builds local i18n is easier to debug and ship fast

When you are not building anything, you see only tweets saying "now 20k MRR 100k users" and you imagine it took one month When you build something, you see more tweets saying "it took a decade to gain 10 users, but now it goes fast" Building something brings you the reality I guess
Resend just crossed 10k paying customers! 🎉 It took 1 year to go from 0 to 1k customers Now, we're adding 1k customers every month 🚀
that's damn right. I really don't like the screenshot about sleeping scores. just do your best to do your 8 hours sleep, but don't be like "I can do it you should", because with no kid you're cheating
ppl without kids talking about time management and productivity are hilarious
what are those "Layer utilities" in @tailwindcss in chrome's styler debug ? v3: tailwind overwrites my other CSS files cause I import it at last v4: all the other stylsheet overwrite taliwind's and I see the "Layer utilities" below all the other styles how can I make tailwind be the strongest @adamwathan ?
Looking for "i18n" keyword on X and trying to reply to people talking about it is it a good move? no impact yet, I'll keep trying
I'VE BUILT A TOOL TO MAKE IT EASY it's called i18n-keyless.com, it's 4$/month for MVPs, I offer the setup (min 50$ worth)
LOCALIZE YOUR APP TO GROW GLOBALLY Only 5–7% of public Shopify apps are available with translations, but translated apps make up more than 50% of installs in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan. Here’s why to localize yours: 👩‍💻 More discoverability • Show up in local language search results • Reach high-demand markets like EMEA & Japan 🌐 Grow installs with localization • Build features for local merchant workflows • Integrate with local messaging or loyalty tools 🚢 Ship quality translations • Use AI tools to translate at scale • Format dates and prices using locale tools
