Quick reminder that only SCOTUS is established through the Constitution. Congress actually established the jurisdiction of all the federal judges who insist on trampling all over their “enumerated powers” from Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution. ALL of the federal judges can be blown out by their creators that they so deeply disrespect with a simple majority vote in both chambers of congress.
Quick reminder that *only* SCOTUS is established through the Constitution. We might not actually need full impeachment on all these lower court judges, if we just blow out their jurisdiction. To my understanding, all other courts were established through the Judiciary Act of 1789, which means they can all be blown the fuck out by a simply majority vote in the two chambers of congress. Just something to consider, given all these tyrannical judges that think they can allocate funding (constitutionally “enumerated power” of congress in Article 1, Section 8 of the constitution), or even tell the executive branch how to do its job.

If President Trump, relying on this decision, tried to fund anything other than SNAP, another judge somewhere would likely rule against the President bc it doesn’t meet the exigency criteria in McConnell’s ruling - that door is wide open now.

“By complying without appeal, the Trump administration has effectively accepted that it can now engage in executive spending when Congress has not authorized it, provided such spending serves the public good.” Good point but will they have the willpower to follow through?

Technically, they handed Trump a doubled edged sword. Although it wasnt explicit in the order, Trump now can cut Congressionally approved funds also. The moment they handed him a demand to control the budget, thats all it took for the administration to have claim.

Trump should just say "You're Fired" and we'll see how the judge handles that.

So guess Trump doesn’t need to get funding from congress to build a wall now. Seems like there was another court case he lost exactly about this or am i remembering it wrong?

Wait... what? The 3 constitutional branches of the United States have run smackdab into each other. -Legislative writes laws and holds the "purse" -Executive uses the money to carry put the laws -Judicial interprets the laws and ensures constitutionality. A Fascinating Convergence: -Legislative closed the purse which activated the Antideficiency Act (forbids spending dollars not appropriated by Congress). -Executive ran out of appropriated funds -Judicial Branch (Judge John J. McConnell of Rhode Island)... Released the Executive Branch from the Antideficiency Act "for the public good". x.com/amuse/status/198548244…
