Heard from a company in London: We have found the UK visa sponsorship process to be excellent - we’ve sponsored several visas for super talented engineers. Process takes jut a couple of weeks and costs £5-10K. One of the advantages of building in London over US!

Anyone who's seen developer salaries in New York or Bay Area would know that you definitely want to hire in London instead of there - you need to raise 2x+ the amount if you want to hire Bay Area developers. So: Raise from UK & US investors, hire people in the UK.

Been doing it for decades now. It's a shame the broader economy isn't in the strongest position, but optimistically I hope that turns around at some point. Not like we don't have a few other issues to boot which needs sorting as well 😅
