Density is a means to an end Smaller homes aren’t better for their own sake. Smaller allows for tighter knit communities, and the benefits that come Which is also why safety & public order are even MORE critical in the City … without them the whole point of density goes away
Replying to @bobbyfijan
This is why walkable neighborhoods with schools and churches you can walk to are vital for fertility. When you have families walking around and being visible to others, then you are likely to get more babies. If the kids are always being transported by car, they are barely seen.

@leachfortexas literally thinks We the People are dumb! I’m going to Austin to be The People! I’m like you and he only represents himself. Do your research. This rep was censured by the grassroots in HD67. Time to fire the Leach. thorsenfortexas.com @CollinGOP @TexasGOP @lukemaciastx @CSalcedoShow @sayinwithalisha @GOPCOWBOYTX @AmyWinkel4 @willcain @WillCainShow @TexasScorecard
I wonder if a huge proportion of the words spilt over the housing crisis are actually just projections of the specific dysfunctions of San Francisco onto the rest of the country
I think this thread is very good fodder for some honest discussion about what the good life actually is. Is GDP the good life?

This is “duh”-level stuff that Congressional Republicans should implement like yesterday @RepKeithSelf
Student loan debt should be bankrupted, however, universities must use their endowments as collateral to underwrite student loans. That would solve a lot of issues fast.

Cars are great. They give the population huge liberty to move around the country, the countryside & the suburbs with comfort, ease & relative safety. They empower & liberate their users. They can particularly help those with goods to deliver or physical challenges to overcome…
I love this so much. These benches are probably in the best places and are so much more meaningful and particular to that place than benches that would have been ordered by Municipal Consulting Corp from Municipal Plastic Supplier Corp that met all the best practices guidelines
In Indianapolis, for $40, locals are building benches where they’re most needed throughout the city - without costly engagement or consultants.
I'll go first: I think the Texas Legislature should be full-time and should pay a real salary. The part-time, bi-annual legislature doesn't really work.
What unpopular opinion about government in Texas will have you like this?

So cool!
Excited to see Presidio, New Founding's first venture portfolio company, launch its health plan. This is an innovative and cost-effective solution, and designed to reflect concerns of Christian consumers.
“The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American." —President Theodore Roosevelt

Tonight, I had the privilege of attending the 2025 Feast and Fundraiser for Abolish Abortion Texas and the Foundation to Abolish Abortion. It was an incredible evening of fellowship and encouragement, featuring a powerful keynote address from my good friend, Oklahoma State Senator @DustyDeevers. I was honored to receive the Abolitionist Champion Award for courageous leadership during the 89th Legislative Session, alongside my colleague, @DavidLowe4Texas We will not stop fighting until every unborn child receives equal protection under the law!

Completely agree.
No person in the United States should ever hold an office of public trust, at any level, while also holding dual citizenship with another country.

Even in the suburbs, the police aren't going to investigate a theft of goods worth "only" $1200. I was told years ago that anything under $2500 wouldn't get investigated. After Bidenflation, that number is probably $10,000.
For lower level crimes in the City, there’s also just a different standard. Some crimes just don’t rate. I took my son to get brunch. Rode my cannondale bike connected to a Burley bike trailer. Then we met some friends and I ended up walking home and forgetting about it. Next day I go back and *obviously* it had been stolen In the suburbs, having $1200 worth of stuff stolen would be newsworthy. In the City, I just blamed myself for being a dummy who left it (locked up) overnight. And obviously didn’t bother to report it.

Finally, building another Moongate soon at our Townsend project! I love architecture that makes people smile - that makes them stop and go, "wow!". There is something just whimsical and magical about them. I love "portals". Things that take you out of one world & into another.

Nobody who works to subvert our nation by helping illegal aliens avoid deportation should be one of its chief enforcement officers.
I call on Chip Roy to immediately cease using taxpayer money to help illegal immigrants get amnesty and evade deportation. Once again, Chip is undermining President Trump’s America First agenda and is now opposing his border security efforts. Chip Roy is unfit to be attorney general.

This view only makes sense if your entire interest in America can be summed up as "number go up"
If you were a devoted opponent of the United States you would be watching this with confusion, trying to work out what the catch is. Like watching your rival dismantle their own roads.

This is exactly right and is why we should reconsider the limits of sovereign immunity and qualified immunity.
You need 67 votes in the senate to remove him from office. I applaud the effort but he's not going anywhere.

If @DHSgov @DOJCrimDiv or the @FBI can't arrest people for doing this, then we are entirely unserious and this is all theater. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @FBIDirectorKash @AGPamBondi
BREAKING: Illinois State Rep Margaret Croke (D) just sent out an email doxxing ICE and listed their car details and license plate numbers! She’s putting a target on agents’ backs and helping illegals evade arrest. This is absolutely disgraceful. CHARGE HER. @DHSgov @ICEgov

If I was a serious politician I would do everything feasible to detach health insurance from employment
I DON’T THINK COMPANIES SHOULD BE FEDERALLY MANDATED TO OFFER HEALTH INSURANCE
