Demonstrating the danger of ChatGPT memory. Earlier, in an unrelated conversation, I asked ChatGPT to give me a simple yes/no response when I name something, indicating if it’s edible. Now, hours later, I started a new chat with β€œfrench fries.” It responded, β€œyes.”

In an effort to downgrade from cursor's buggy new version, I installed the 1.7 from their download page, which… corrupted my installation. Now my chat history with all its context is completely gone, and there wasn't even an option to back it up first due to the earlier bug. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™‚οΈ
does anyone have an old version of cursor they can send me? πŸ’€

Looks like new chats work, but all old chats are broken, probably considered malformed based on the new format

svelte is s-tier possibly the best framework. if there was a bigger community and better native support (iirc being worked on by @sveltejs @SvelteSociety @PaoloRicciuti via @LynxJS_org), i'd probably use it for most projects

I'm hesitating to overwrite the last chat in Cursor (to slim the context usage %) for sentimental reasons. I'm a message history hoarder. Anyone else relate to this?

computers are cool, but what am i missing? cant u just dig up some rocks and electrify them yourself?
planetscale is cool, but what am i missing? cant u just buy a bare metal server and self host your own database with replication?

Polar isn't just another Stripe wrapper. It's shaking the payments ecosystem and establishing itself as new financial primitive, with features and API quality not viable yet with Stripe standalone. I'm really excited for what Polar is building and how it's pushing others (Stripe included) to reinvent themselves.
this is why we built polar
