And in all this, he still didn’t answer the questions that concern Nigerians. People are arguing over Rufai’s professionalism. Is that the problem here?? Someone is asking for accountability, you’re angry at his delivery. God abeg.

There are thousands of elders like this who brought Nigeria to this despicable level. A public servant paid with people's taxes asking a journalist "who are you" ? "Do you know who I am" "I'm a professor in this field" But we still bring Chinese to do the job 😂 😂 àwon àgbàyà

Rufai is the type of journalist that will make Nigerian politicians understands, they are to serve the interests of Nigerians. If you are not accountable to the people then you are not fit for purpose to lead. Welldone @ruffydfire only criminals tagged as leaders dislike you.

The way many of you are criticizing @ruffydfire is funny. Have guy watched the British Parliament? Or even Foreign Media Outlets interviewing their Politicians? Just because he's a Nigerian he's now being disrespectful in your eyes? Why aren't they attacking Minister of Interior?

But then, this is not journalism. There’s too much disrespect coming in form of journalism. If I was in that position, there’s every chances that I may not reply. Why so much disrespect cause you want details on something, there are better approach to asking. You shouldn’t go on air and start making your guest feel attacked, that’s unprofessional.

Anybody that blame or attack Rufai for this interview that person is part of Nigeria problems. We need more of Rufai in Nigeria journalist. This Nigeria govt don't rate us at all

This wasn’t just an interview gone wrong it was a live demonstration of why Nigeria struggles with transparency. Rufai asked, “What’s the cost per kilometer?” Minister replied, “You’ don’t know anything about engineering .” Lol Am a professor in this field Rufai- I didn’t know you are a professor who awarded you professor Minister- me in the field,😂😂😂😂 And that says more about governance than any cost estimate ever could. The problem is that all our media are too afraid to ask questions I mean real questions. Thank you Rufai for making this man exposed himself.

You can't estimate cost/km in this type of project because each km is unique. That's what the minister is trying to let him see. 2-3km maybe too swamped and 3-4km will be a hard soil. So you can't budget on it. This guy is so annoying and stupid!d.

"The cost per km is between so(min)-so(max) depending on terrain and other factors....." I really hate how arrogant Nigerian leaders can be, if you are in public office, you must account for money spent. They always act like asking them questions is audacious.

If you hold public office then you MUST be accountable for whatever projects that have been handed out to you. That includes giving out adequate information to the ones who put you in office, behavior like this is only tolerated in Nigerian politics. Total rubbish.

Rufai asked this question as a lay man. What stops Umahi from throwing light on it without being agitated. You don’t expect a journalist to be an expert in every field. If Umahi had said, yes it’s not linear. We had this kilometres of swampy area, we had to construct this kilometres of bridges. The straight road cost so so per kilometre but the undulated area were costed based on what had to be done.
