Omarchy 3.1 is out! With Windows VM built-in, universal copy'n'paste on Super + C/V, clipboard manager, tiling groups, live theme changes for neovim/Obsidian/Cursor, new flexoki theme, tons of fixes. Amazing update. github.com/basecamp/omarchy/…
The new tiling groups are fantastic. Especially on a small display. You can give every app tabs and easily fit a lot more on each workspace. Super + G to start a group, Super + Alt + Arrows to move windows into it, Super + Alt + G to move a window out.

But what if I just want to close a window with my mouse instead of remembering 20 shortcuts just to navigate ?

Then you have a million other flavors of Linux to choose from. Omarchy is unapologetically for people who are interested in learning how to drive their computer with the keyboard. Super + K pulls up the cheatsheet 👍

Absolutely love tab groups. Highly recommend adding some keyboard nav for cycling through them. I have these VIM style: ``` bindd = SUPER, h, Move Left In Group, changegroupactive, b bindd = SUPER, l, Move Right In Group, changegroupactive, f ```

And in case you want to see some other group shortcut -> Super + K -> search for group

This looks gorgeous but I always end up turning off animations so everything feels instantaneous

why are we using arrows? I thought we should have everything in vim .

Oh man, I never knew that I wanted this. Having a spreadsheet on one side, and then a group of PDFs and browser on the other side would ease my workflow.

super + ALT + tab is a little weird but I will get used to it

That's just hyprland functionality. Nothing Omarchy-specific.

This is still not close to i3/sway/hy3. Would be great to close that gap.

Is it possible to do powers of 3?

I already have bindings for all of those key combinations.😩

.@surajkhahai does this resolve your problem with hyprland?

Curious why you didn't choose Super+Q to close apps.

Perfect looks really nice, would be even perfect if Microsoft Intune fully supported Arch.

Awsm, thats what i am looking for.!!

For small screens, scrollable window managers are the best. I think there's a hyprland plugin that gives hyprland the scrollable feature.

i still prefer using tmux instead of group of terminal windows :3

Hey, I have been using Arch Linux for many many years, I have my own personal config. Just tested Omarchy as VM. I would like to thank you for your work and your efforts, this is really a great project and in the right direction supporting FOSS (freedom), keep going.. ♥️
