Practice mental double-entry bookkeeping:
When you catch yourself envying, ask yourself: “What did they give up to get this? What do they have to do to keep it?”
So true. We only notice the results, never the bill behind them.
Someone's big job might cost family time.
Someone's perfect body might cost strict routines.
Someone's calm mind might cost walking away from things others chase.
Instead of wanting what someone has, it's smarter to ask: Would I want their trade-offs, too?
Most envy disappears when we see the full picture.
Everyone pays a price, sleepless nights, personal loss, constant pressure. Instead of comparing or feeling less, focus on your own journey. What’s meant for you will come, with the price you’re willing to pay for it.
There's always a price to pay. The more successful you become, the bigger the price to pay. Be careful when you wish you could be someone else. You don't know what they went through to get to where they are.
