I have so many thoughts about this. I agree with them about the awards. But in my opinion, this statement is everything that's wrong with modern worship culture: "Either He shows up in the room or it's not been worship." The emotionalism of the encounter-driven worship can be powerfully seductive. It can cause your subjective experience to bypass your mind and trump biblical truth. God doesn't "show up in the room." He indwells every believer...where we are, He is. (Thanks for posting, Lizzie. Glad to hear you're out of Bethel!)
She came out of bethel as did I (Jesus culture)…. Does she still believe the same things? I don’t know. But what I do know is she’s absolutely right in this instance.

Agreed. Sounds like blasphemy to me. Emotions can be very very deceptive. Not to be trusted. “Either He shows up or…” Somebody show me where that is in the Bible.
