Secularism promised progress but here we are having to go all the way to the Supreme Court to argue that being a women isn't merely a feeling, nor should we allow the amputation & mutilation of physically healthy children by anyone.
On Wednesday, a massively important case is going before the Supreme Court to decide whether states can protect children from gender ideology. Top-flight lawyer Erin Hawley explains the stakes at @WNGdotorg. wng.org/opinions/a-states-ri…

Schumer should put his head in a bag. During the Biden years the Senate passed many CRs, minis, omnis, and supps. This was obviously bipartisan because of the filibuster. 1/9
very sensible

Simple fix Senator: Allow everyone to purchase catastrophic insurance plans again. Cancer diagnosis problem solved. ACA, written by for profit insurers, got rid of catastrophic plans by requiring coverage for basic & routine health services that most Americans don’t use or could shop for & pay with cash
This is, unsurprisingly, nonsensical. Is he suggesting eliminating health insurance and giving people a few thousand dollars instead? And then when they get a cancer diagnosis they just go bankrupt? He is so unserious. That's why we are shut down and Americans know it.
And there it is. He’s definitely going to be primaried for this, lol.

BREAKING NEWS: PA SEn. Fetterman votes YES, becoming the key 8th Dem Caucus yes vote on the deal to reopen government. The deal is now poised to advance. Reopening timing is TBD - hours or days. This must go through Senate procedure ahead still. And House must vote.

Note that the Dems had a promise to hold a vote on the ACA extension in hand before they shut down the government, and the only thing they’re getting in return for finally taking that promise is the re-hiring of all of the staff that got laid off during the shutdown so we’re just at the status quo This is a complete route, this entire exercise was pointless and Democrats caused a massive delay in SNAP benefits as well as massive travel headaches and any other number of major inconveniences to a huge swath of the American electorate for literally nothing
This is officially the deal, per source familiar. Led by King, Shaheen, Hassan -CR through Jan 30 -A vote on ACA bill of Dem choosing in December - Minibus -Reversal of shutdown RIFs w/ back pay -SNAP funded through FY26
Lol why did they expect anything else? Schumer and co never had any real leverage.
More updates from the Reddit left Fed workers who now realize there haven’t be paid for almost a month and a half for literally zero reason

It’s wild how once you become attuned to the concept of β€œleftists pretending not to understand things”, it suddenly starts showing up in every one of their arguments
Just outrageous, shameful behavior from CondΓ©'s head of HR Stan Duncan. You've just laid off some of your most respected, beloved, unionized staffβ€”and the union reps come to ask questions. You have a professional duty to sit with them. That is literally your job.

Thanks to President Trump, we are indeed working on The 50 year Mortgage - a complete game changer.

How does importing ancient tribal blood feuds from halfway across the world into our country benefit the American people? For many Republicans, mass immigration β€” no matter from where β€” is β€œgood” so long as it’s legal. Braindead thinking.

Supreme Court continues its 100% reversal rate of the First Circuit--this time two for one, stopping both Judges Talwani and McConnell (once Sen. Whitehouse major donor) orders requiring the gov't to spend billions. Disappointing the First Circuit couldn't act fast enough.
Deregulation of all the rules that favor the big 4 beef processors would be a good place to start.
Trump: I have asked the DOJ to immediately begin an investigation into the Meat Packing Companies who are driving up the price of Beef through Illicit Collusion, Price Fixing, and Price Manipulation. We will always protect our American Ranchers, and they are being blamed for what is being done by Majority Foreign Owned Meat Packers, who artificially inflate prices, and jeopardize the security of our Nation’s food supply. Action must be taken immediately to protect Consumers, combat Illegal Monopolies, and ensure these Corporations are not criminally profiting at the expense of the American People. I am asking the DOJ to act expeditiously. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Good piece, but it gets one fact wrong: Congress did not create the OPT program. It was established entirely through regulation by the INS in 1991 (now DHS), and therefore it can be ended by DHS. It’s absolutely imperative that the Trump administration ends this program.

What Sen Democrats want: - 3-bill appropriations bill (β€œminibus”) - 1 year extension of ACA subsidies as they are now - a committee to be set up to figure out longer-term ACA, health care solutions Per source familiar (+what we have heard off/on for days - but firm now)

No. Democrats can vote to reopen the government first with a clean spending bill, ending their chaos and harm, and then these things can be negotiated/voted on.
SCHUMER is on the floor right now. he will propose a 1-year extension of Obamacare subsidies. Remember: @SpeakerJohnson is opposed to this.
