ex-founder (1.5x failed), now traveling around Asia and bootstrapping side projects that are fun

I made Wikiread.ai mostly for myself as a fun project - I travel a lot and wanted something to read on planes. Not sure if it’s useful for anyone else, but I figured I’d share it here. You just write a topic, and it merges the most relevant Wikipedia articles into one coherent longform read you can export as an ebook. How I built it: - Started UI in @Lovable , then moved to @cursor_ai to finish the app - Backend and auth run on @supabase - Payments handled via @polar_sh Curious what you think!

so basically on wikiread.ai you type any topic and it digs up the best Wikipedia articles, stitches them into one story and gives you an ebook 16,315 words about OpenAI’s history - generated just now

the goal is both: bangers and eternal glory
The goal is to build a long-term online presence. Not to go viral today.

when I was pitching a defense project to VCs they kept asking about β€˜dual use’ guess this is what they meant
Tornyol (@tornyolsystems) is building micro-drones that kill mosquitoes. They use smartphone microphones, car park assist sensors, and some clever DSP and control to transform 40-gram toy drones into mosquito killers.

I treat VCs like dating: no dating recently
Replying to @howdymj
treat VC's like dating; ignore, respond at your own pace, and entertain those that communicate and value you properly

day #1 of marketing Goal is simple: get more than the 5 users on my fun project wikiread.ai today: – did way too much shitposting on Twitter (formerly X) – made my first reel for TikTok/YT/IG effects: – had 30 followers on Wednesday, now 63 (ain’t much, but honest work) – reel is below - curious what you think tomorrow: – more reels, obviously

want to learn more about something? just ask on wikiread.ai and export it as an ebook
Exactly, but exported as an EPUB not PDF, so it's ready to be read on Kindle etc Need to implement some mechanism to allow sharing conversations with generated texts, but here are some screenshots from a text about GTA that I just generated:
