Well, yes. MOD files store the sample data for instruments directly. Here they are created from a few parameters. Songs are typically in the 300-1000 byte range. E.g. this one is 460 bytes, embedded in the URL: phoboslab.org/synth/#eJytVG2…

As a reality check for graphics programmers: I still get the occasional bug report that sokol_gfx.h doesn't work on an Intel HD 3000. (I *could* probably lower the GL backend base version to 3.x again, but then I don't have any retro-laptop to test on anyway)

I've just uploaded a simple #raylib example application for viewing animation data on a skinned mesh: github.com/orangeduck/GenoVi… It has (what I consider) the minimum rendering required to actually evaluate skinned animation: basic lighting, shadow maps, SSAO, and a grid shader.
