Witchcraft, particularly Necromancy, is on the rise. It can look overt like visiting a Medium. It can also look innocent like simply talking to a deceased loved one. But it is prohibited in Scripture and there are no exceptions. I am deeply concerned about this because the enemy knows how to take advantage of people who are in a ton of pain. It's also very difficult to confront someone about this when they are grieving. It's his perfect opportunity to pounce.
what a surprise. brett cooper and her mom engage in witchcraft. she’s not a conservative. idc how hard people wanna gaslight me about it
They’re not really talking to deceased love ones. I used to go to mediums before I was saved. I was heavily into the occult. These are demons disguised as deceased loved ones. It’s very, very dangerous and deceptive.

I used to think the same, but the medium in 1 Samuel 28 actually does bring Samuel back. The text treats it as real, not a demon impersonation, so it is at least possible biblically

This is inconsistent with the rest of scripture which says that the soul and the mind die with the body. Notice how they called the spirit by the name of the 17 year old? It’s the same thing here. It wasn’t really Samuel. It was an impostor.
Calling Samuel an impostor doesn’t fit the text. The prophecy he gave about Saul’s defeat came true exactly as stated, and the inspired narrator keeps calling him "Samuel". God forbids necromancy for the same reason He forbids divination - not because it’s impossible, but because it’s outside His boundaries. His rules are protective, not cruel
