In 2024 we paid over $100,000 to our credit card processor for the 'privilege' of accepting mostly debit/ATM card transactions. Swipe fees are one of the reasons we started accepting BTC in 2019.

Always, because then there is no swipe fee. The CC swipe fees is a scam run by two CC companies and it’s only going up. In some cases the swipe fees are the third largest restaurant expense behind food and labor.

I absolutely won’t pass on my fees to customers and won’t shop somewhere they add the fee. It should be priced in.
