my current side quest at @base is to revamp the interview process in an ai-first era. who has found success with new interview processes to get signal on a candidate's ability to effectively & efficiently build with AI? any tips are appreciated cc: @dps @tobi @sualehasif996
I took a 5 year detour in my tech career to run People Ops at my last organization. Why? 1. My mindset: I want to sit in the seat where I make the most impact. At that time, in that company, taking on that challenge was where I could add the most value 2. I learned a ton and I love learning After those 5 years, I added all of the value that I could in that role and it was time to get back to my passion in tech. Now I'm working on @base -- if I hit the lottery tomorrow and didn't need to work to survive, there is no question that I would still choose to be doing this. It's the most challenging and fun job I've ever had & I'm surrounded by people who are stuck on beast mode. It's almost 11pm and I just got some feedback on a PR and Im lowkey excited to see what it says, brb.

interviewing in an ai-first world means rethinking what questions really matter. it’s less about scripted answers and more about how candidates navigate unknowns, adapt, and co-create. the future’s about collaboration, not just evaluation.
