Donald Trump is now going all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court to take SNAP food benefits away from Americans in need. California won't back down in court from supporting the tens of millions of Americans the Trump Administration seemingly wants to starve.

Today, I voted in support of a resolution that would force Trump to get congressional approval before using military force against Venezuela. Senate Republicans blocked it—ceding their constitutional authority to Trump. Once again, they bent the knee to a wanna-be king.

BREAKING: The Senate blocked a resolution 49–51 that would have forced Trump to get Congress’s approval for military action in Venezuela. Only two Republicans joined Democrats: Rand Paul and Lisa Murkowski.

I went to the Senate floor to demand Trump release all of the SNAP benefits he’s cruelly withholding. Republicans blocked me.

Jeffries: "John Thune is divorced from reality. It's a clown show over in the Senate. 14, 15 times you bring the same partisan Republican spending bill to the Senate floor expecting a different result? That's the classic definition of legislative insanity. Has no ability to actually negotiate in good faith."

Trump thinks he can cheat the American people out of a free and fair election because he knows he can’t win on his record of higher prices and tax breaks for billionaires.  My colleagues joined me in taking to the Senate floor to call out Trump’s thinly veiled attempts to undermine our democracy.

Sen. Rosen just torched Sen. Moreno on the Senate floor: “This is a Republican shutdown, my friend. You control the White House, the House, and the Senate. If you went home to a food bank instead of Mar-a-Lago, while people are starving, you might actually see your constituents. You are blind to the suffering.” That’s a public execution of hypocrisy. The party crying about “the economy” can’t even keep the lights on.

Sen. Jacky Rosen: "Donald Trump is in charge of the White House. He's actually Speaker of the House these days, as he alleges himself. And he's pretty much in control of the Senate. He could stop this shutdown right now...But he's choosing to inflict the most pain possible."

You need to stop watching Fox News. Illegal aliens don’t receive any of your absurd allegations. No food stamps, no healthcare, no pocket $, nada. Most of them are pretty hard-working people But you know what? They pay taxes from which they never get any benefits. But you do.
