So lot of ignorance today about what Diwali is.
It is, actually, not a holiday celebrating any God. Not in any true sense.
And I have no idea why @OhioState is agreeing to this. This would be idiotic for the premier academic brand in America and the Big Ten to agree to.
Same to a lesser degree for @PennStateFball @oregonfootball etc.
My hope is that @umich @UMichFootball and @USC_Athletics does not join this deal. This is a terrible idea, and the Big Ten is exceptionally stupid to even consider it. Financial benefits be damned.

I was, until last year, on an H1B visa.
And it’s not that US citizens don’t want to do my job - it’s that I don’t know any US citizen willing to subject themselves to be a postdoc for over nine years, like I was.

“Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson temporarily halted an order requiring the Trump administration make full Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) November payments by Friday.
Jackson’s ruling pauses some of the payments until the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit can decide the administration’s motion to block the order pending its appeal.”
The most left-wing Justice on the Supreme Court has rightly concluded that courts cannot order the appropriation and expenditure of tax dollars that are not there because of the #SchumerShutdown.
