🇬🇧 We’re excited to announce our first participant in the UK! Paul, who is paralyzed due to motor neuron disease, received his Neuralink implant at @uclh earlier this month and was able to control a computer with his thoughts just hours after surgery.

He’s now working with our engineers to explore using the implant to play his favorite video games like Dawn of War and perform other tasks that could enrich and restore autonomy in his daily life.

Supplanting Elon might not be possible. People of his caliber emerge only once in a century. Now at mid 50’s he ventures into what amounts to stage 3 of aging. We have ~1600 weeks at maximum to be led by someone with that much fire. Of those, >1000 will involve his mind in a geriatric tail spin. @elonmusk ⏳ Elon is super duper rare imo. We should try and save him even if he doesn’t want to be saved from aging.
