If you're making more typos in iOS lately, you're not going crazy - it's a bug in iOS that causes the keyboard to randomly insert the wrong letter instead of what you typed.
im pretty sure thats just the keyboard waiting for the user to lift their finger off the key before inputting it in case they might press and hold it for diacritics instead
