hi @typefully, I guess today is the day we get to ask if you have an updated timeline on bluesky? ๐Ÿ™ƒ๐Ÿฆ‹
Loved the quote on the four primary color computer science (network, storage, memory and compute)
In 2020, we discovered a fundamental limit in the general-purpose DB design for transaction processing. This led to the creation of TigerBeetle. Today, I'm excited to announce TigerBeetle's $24 million Series A led by @natalievais of @sparkcapital. tigerbeetle.com/blog/2024-07โ€ฆ

Thinking about the Data Science Venn Diagram and where the focus has shifted over the years. My feeling is that focus shifted from math/stats ๐Ÿงฎ to code ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป and now maybe it is time to give more focus to the domain? ๐Ÿ‘ท๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿ’ผ

Also very positively struck by the presentation by @htmx_org, I might be the last one to find out Carson is the same person behind the incredible grugbrain.dev but it made my day! piped.video/zGyAWH5btwY?si=484xโ€ฆ STAY POSITIVE!

Replying to @carlocapocasa
Ok now I am puzzled ๐Ÿ˜ถโ€๐ŸŒซ๏ธ. I see the first tweet in the second thread (โ€œwelcome to my _second_ huna threadโ€), not the first thread ๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ˜Š
Tomorrow. It is happening! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

This keynote from last year @pyconit by @marlene_zw is really great, informative and inspirational and it will likely make you think new things. It has only one problem: it has too little views and likes ๐Ÿ˜ฑ, but thatโ€™s something you can help with ๐Ÿ˜œ piped.video/8Asn_vmg7Tg

If you were wondering why DuckDB is so great this interview by @krisajenkins to @hfmuehleisen is at the same time ton of fun and highly informative. If you werenโ€™t or do not know DuckDB but you know a bit of SQL you are in for a treat. Highly recommend piped.video/pZV9FvdKmLc?si=JdRGโ€ฆ
