I work in Risk Management (for insurance, banking etc.). Climate Risk is indeed an important thing, but because of regulation and transition risk, not because of physical risk.

I've got over 40 years of hydro climate science but I don't make up fearful climate claims. I do follow Solar forcing of the ocean and it's really a game - changer. Shows AMOC to be just a grift based on a silly notion.

But AI risk is coming in so much faster. Superintelligence is commonly estimated by experts to be 2 to 10 years away, and nobody knows how we could keep control, human jobs or a meaningful life, it will be destabilizing societies to the extreme.

I guess we all better prepare for climate change like Al Gore and Obama, but I can't afford a mansion by the sea.. I didn't get the Noble Peace Prize for saying the Arctic could be ice-free by 2013..

The AXA report confirms what we've long known - climate change is our top risk. After 35 years in the field, I couldn't agree more. Time to turn consensus into action!

Climate change as the top risk highlights our urgent task: collaborate globally and innovate in sustainability. Together, we can address these pressing challenges and build a resilient future.

The greatest risk is allways to believe in the wrong thing.

For most people in the South it's s thread, not a "risk".

What nonsense. The Earth’s climate has always and will always be changing. The current warming trend is far better than a cooling trend.

This is only because the gullible have been brainwashed into believing there's a climate crisis.

Prof. Stefan Rahmstorf, 35 years has informed you that climate change is the greatest risk to humanity. So, what do you want do do about it? What is your world-wide plan to stop global warming? What is the action plan, the time, materials, cost, and resulting living conditions? Not just hopes and goals, but how to accomplish each goal. The devil is in the details. x.com/am_garland/status/1954…
