🧨 The man who saw 2008 coming just called AI the next bubble
Michael Burry, the “Big Short” investor who predicted the housing crash, is now betting against Nvidia and Palantir.
His fund, Scion Asset Management, disclosed more than 1 billion dollars in put options on the two AI giants.
▫️ Nvidia recently became the world’s first 5 trillion dollar company
▫️ Palantir is up 174 percent this year
Burry’s message was simple:
“Sometimes we see bubbles. Sometimes the only winning move is not to play.”
When someone who built his career spotting bubbles starts shorting the leaders of the AI boom, the market listens.
He might be early. He might be contrarian. But his track record speaks loudly.
If his thesis holds, this could become 2008 rewritten in code and silicon.
What do you think? Is this foresight or fear?
