Agents make sense only when we want to expose services that use internal tools, private data, or proprietary models. Otherwise, AI — being the better coder — should generate agents just-in-time, inside the conversation.
For public tools and data, most agents add little value and will soon deprecate.
What we need instead are tool registries and data-source labels — not endless agent frameworks.
AI should help us write less code, not demanding more from us.
