Even an $80K robot has lots of breaking points, and so does the AI running it. we have a long way to go before they can become our room-mate.

the tech is in the "ultra early adopters" phase. i.e. you buy it only if you have lots of money, want to show off or believe in the idea it promots years from now it will feel surreal that the cost of a robot was $80K, the same we feel about SSD prices when they appeared

turns out intelligence is easier to scale than reliability.

Well regular kitchen work is still soooo difficult for robots. Infinitely changing environment. Moravec's principle We h mans should be proud.

I didn't know robots had attitudes —looks like they had a bad day, too.

@Tesla_Optimus some edge case scenarios to consider, good account to follow.

this is a complete lie, they just ran the robot into the mirror using the remote it comes with. there was zero "AI" involved

We were promised AI would create more jobs than it takes… – firefighters – ambulance crews – reconstruction

I am a tech and car nut at heart and by trade, bit his "durability tests" (like this one) I can't get enough of, I love them. This one and the Hilux ones stick out to me lol

That's a static environment the robot operates in. Has anybody ever experienced driving a car through the center of Rome, Paris or Amsterdam? Those are multiple input environments which can change in a fraction of a second. Reason why I am dead sure that robo taxis will not be able to operate there for a very long time.

It’s a robot, not a humanoid. Optimus will take it apart in under a minute and still serve you coffee just how you like it..

This guy is essentially a YouTube comedian, and he's using a second-rate Chinese robot. Not exactly a good argument.

It just shows how cruel and sad PEOPLE are. They abuse people and they will abuse robots- laughing because robots can't do anything about it. IT is showing disgusting human behavior.

Why is it in a maid outfit? You know, I can get behind the butler one, but..
