I've said before: perhaps the most difficult part of political analysis for the engaged & informed is keeping in mind that the American public is deeply, thoroughly ignorant of even the most basic political facts.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I introduce you to the actual American electorate.

Is there no limit to this Mayor’s desire to punish working class New Yorkers? How much more does he think people can take?

I promise antisemitism is still a really big deal without you claiming Jews are the *only* group to experience a certain type of bigotry or oppression

Like, if you want “context,” there are plenty of anti-imperialist and anti-colonial writers, thinkers, and activists that the Arab and Muslim-majority worlds produce(d) who didn’t go on to found a death cult that still wreaks havoc on the Muslim ummah today. They exist!

Bin Laden wasn’t a tragic antihero who grew up under the boot of occupation. He was the son of billionaire developers from a powerful clan and grew up globetrotting only to found a murderous organization that destroyed Muslim lives from Morocco to Indonesia. That’s the “context.”
We can't simply expect teachers to keep working harder and harder without systemic changes. Teachers have a cap on how hard they can work--and after a certain point, we need to make some changes to teaching becomes more sustainable.

It is horrible to see that the Jewish Community Centre and theater in Ljubljana, Slovenia has been defaced with antisemitic graffiti. The building also hosts the local synagogue and the Museum of the History of the Holocaust in Slovenia. We stand with the 🇸🇮 Jewish community.
According to the author - a probably young, exceptionally clueless, DEFINITELY White guy - these songs weren't culturally impactful until they were featured in these hit films. I'm genuinely offended. movieweb.com/surprising-song…
A city in Tennessee has banned being gay in public. Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed an ordinance claiming that “acts of” being “homosexual” is considered “sexual conduct” and may no longer be seen in public. The law is also now being used to ban books. newrepublic.com/post/176915/…
Not bombing the fuck out of a bunch of civilians in hospitals.
Question for *ceasefire now* advocates: if both parties agreed to a ceasefire, then Hamas violated the ceasefire, what would be the right thing to happen next?

“Bereaved families used to [be like] holy people in Israel,” said @OrlyNoy, who saw people yell “traitor” & spit at hostage families during a protest. “It’s another incredible crossing of a line—the total disintegration of everything [Israelis] thought the state stood for.”

is this a trick question? - I mean is it based on the notion that there might be a circumstance under which bombing your own kid is a desired outcome?
Replying to @Alyssa_Milano
If your child was one of the hostages would you want a ceasefire?

The jury is deliberating in the federal trial of ex-Louisville Police Officer Brett Hankison! If convicted, he could face up to life in prison for violating Breonna Taylor’s civil rights when he opened fire during the raid that claimed her life. Now we await the verdict.

Could it be that there’s a ubiquitous form of violence that is overwhelmingly committed against women and girls, the healing from which is inhibited by stigma, victim blaming, and widespread social indifference to or support for perpetrators? No; it’s that women have bad brains.
PTSD is twice as prevalent in women as in men and researchers are not sure why. Recent studies have however shed light on how estrogen and hormonal cycles can influence PTSD. This article explores the connection between PTSD and the menopausal transition. buff.ly/3nxBasU
