I assumed the song would be The Kinks or The Stones or something, so why are they playing a song from my youth?! Oh yeah… right. I still forget sometimes that I’ve moved up a generational demographic

It's that look on your child's face when you play an absolute massive, banging, hit from your youth that they don't recognise, swear they haven't heard of and you insist that they must have. The intersection between patience, love and pity. Gets to you, you know?

I had to teach my son about The Happy Monday’s the other day. He swore he’d never heard any of their songs 🤷🏻‍♂️
