The American draft resolution on Gaza submitted to the UN #Security_Council -if reports about it are accurate- is a scheme that disconnects the Palestinian question from international legitimacy, as embodied in the United Nations resolutions over the past 78 years… It transforms the Palestinian question into one whose future is controlled by an extrajudicial “trusteeship council" headed by the United States for the implementation of an American "peace plan" that has no basis in international law… Were the American draft resolution to be adopted by the Security Council in its present form, it will mark the beginning of the official dissolution of what remains of the Palestinian question, foremost the Palestinian people's right to freedom, equality, dignity and self-determination in their own occupied land. The American draft resolution, in my view, is the most dangerous @UN resolution concerning Palestine since the 1947 UN Partition Plan.
