Is this a real thing people add on LinkedIn these days?
Even if you don't have a job / a pipeline of projects, you want to act and think like you're fully booked.
It changes the way you communicate and evaluate potential opportunities.
- You look more authoritative and calm
- You're 'considering a project' vs. 'needing it'.
Do the same with your profile - create a vibe of someone who knows what they're doing.
As brutal as it sounds - your clients want success, not to do charity work.
It's not easy to do at all when you're in that position. You might feel like you're lying, but, remember - you have the skills.
What you're worried about is your personal survival.
However, that's not part of the job description, so leave it out of the picture.
I don't know a single hiring manager that wants to hire someone who is desperate.
