As a developer, taming this mischievous little cat was far from easy. She had an infuriating habit of clipping through other characters during animations. On paper, the idea of Spring behaving differently depending on humanity levels felt perfectly natural—but bringing that idea to life in-game caused one technical problem after another. For several days, multiple team members worked tirelessly until, at last, we managed to make Spring settle snugly into the character's arms instead of breaking through his torso. Only then could we finally breathe a sigh of relief. 🐾 Watching so many players visit the hotel just to spend time with Spring was heartwarming even for me. Thanks to all that love, we were able to introduce a glimpse of her childhood in the DLC. It's so funny and sad what wannabe Linux-tinkerers (with no knowledge, or will to learn) do to get some GitHub stars & attention. One guy cloned @notashelf's config (35k+ lines of Nix and counting), changed his username s/notashelf/.../g, and changed almost nothing else. He then tracked shelf's repo for around a year, mind you he gave zero attribution, while linking 4 different "donation" sites on the repo & massively shilling it (it now has 250 ish stars). Here's the commit message that is left on the public archive of the repository (it is still maintained in private):
