There is no such thing as white culture, however white people have culture because all of those are different cultures that do not identify with each other. Only weird americans have retroactively made these cultures the same

Korean and Japanese cultures are subcultures under the broader Asian culture. English and French cultures are subcultures under the broader White culture. Haitian and South African cultures are subcultures under the broader Black culture. Thank you for attended this TED talk.

White culture is hating your own culture so much, to the point you think it doesn't even exist. All other cultures recognize, celebrate and *gasp* even protect it.

Did they imply that all of these cultures were the same? There is no one singular “African” culture but everyone knows what that entails. There is no one singular “Asian” culture but I know what someone means when they say that.

Of course there is. Like it or not, suburbia, skyscrapers, Costco, McDonald’s, tv, cartoons, movies, hot dogs, baseball, pizza delivery, bbq, tailgating, truck stops, nascar, etc ARE our culture and no one else’s that didn’t weasel their way in later (looking at you tiger woods)

So by this definition there is no black culture, no middle eastern culture, no asian culture...?

Using the same logic there isn't also black or asian culture. There are many cultures in each country.

If there's no "white culture", then there's no "black culture, by the same rules.

Yes, Americans are the nexus of all of those different cultural heritages. We were English, Germans, Irish, Italians, Swedes, Polish, Spaniards, etc. before we were American.
Replying to @sverresj
Yeah but there are clearly similarities across European cultures which makes it reasonable to group them together Would you argue that there is no such thing as African culture just because there are differences between cultures of different countries?

You could apply this same logic to black culture, Asian culture, middle eastern culture, etc etc. Generalizing culture by race typically doesn't work in any case

Is there Islamic Culture? Christian Culture? Jewish Culture? Is there Nordic Culture? Is there Anglo Culture? Is there Western Culture? Is there African Culture? Is there Asian Culture? You are a massive fucking idiot, but that is ok that is your culture.

There's no such thing as "white culture", but European culture, or Christian culture, or Nordic culture, or Germanic. These are all cultures that spread across Europe at one time and connect all white Europeans.

White culture only exists in the new world because we lost our ethnic European identities.

Culture is fractal. I'm white and I'm Polish. Me being Polish makes me no less white. There exists a joint cultural foundation built on the legacy of Rome and Christianity.

White ethnogenesis started with the American colonization as a distinction from their previous mostly English homeland. It was solidified by events like the Hispaniola Genocide, the oppression and victimization during reconstruction, and the violence both rhetorical and physical against them during the "civil rights" era and continuing to the present day. So yes White is a distinct modern day ethnic group that generally encompasses people of European ancestry.

The thing is, all culture is everyones culture because their is no distinction between being black or white, we are all human? Never say their is no white culture, never say their is no black culture, we are all deserving of respect and by picking on people of white skin you are furthering a divide, you are spreading hatred without directly saying it. You are the problem for being too focused on wokeness that you lost the ability to understand we are all equal, please, do better.

All the national cultures of Europe were formed from regional tribal confederation. The exact same thing happened in usa and the combined peoples were called white. The term white was also used by the British in our other colonies like India and Australia

There is a very distinct White European culture. To say there is no White culture because they're all different is the same as saying there's no Asian culture because Japanese are different from Chinese, or no black culture because Sudanese are different from Congolese.

Have you considered that it was the very context of America that made all of these identify with each other?

The Founding Fathers identified with the Greco-Roman & Judeo-Christian cultural heritage. By the standard of "identification with," historically, there was a common "European culture" based on claiming that shared cultural heritage. If one uses a more plausible form of sociology, one still finds that there are categories that come quite close to corresponding to the "white" (European) phenotype. There isn't a White culture in a similar way that there isn't a Black culture; it's mainly a phenotypical identification.
Replying to @sverresj
If that’s the case the exact same thing is true about black culture. You cannot cherry pick because you want to.
