1. the DAW works.

Exports are fast, you can even preview the clip visually before you export and get estimated size (think i missed that in the clip, added in the screenshot)
2. clip movement between tracks is extremely snappy and feels natural. automation points automatically transfer relative to their position in the clip. loop state follows as well.
> needs more work on playback/visual sync and event cleanup when splitting/moving clips mid playback.
3. You should not even have to worry about the interface at all unless you want to. prompt and it will work.
> AI SDK + WDK integration otw. watch out.
and best part, aside from optional ai functionality and cloud/realtime persistence (also coming soon), it's all on the browser.

This something that would take anyone without a fully installed DAW forever to do.
And now itβs possible in seconds without any installs, right in the browser.
β¦ Automations with zero extra setup. Easily move between tracks (plus itβs context-aware).
β¦ Exports working insanely fast.
β¦ Real-time Export Previews - easily visualize output, estimated size, etc based on your settings.
Just added support for wav (ofc), flac, aac, ogg. More soon. Next up: tools, libraries, and a better agentic ui.
What should I work on next?
Thinking Sections, Markers, etc for loops makes sense (so you can export just the selected part without adding custom timestamps). Then Iβll share more on the Library UI.
This is really the foundation of a new way to make music. And Iβm doing it all in the open (oss).
Keeping at it, I go dumb when I see the vision.
Also, I'm going to use @capso for my screen recordings from now on. If someone wants to help me make a decent demo video, hmu.
how is @wav0ai built under the hood?
now that I'm transitioning from legacy slop to the new @π ππ0/πππ -πππππ and @π ππ0/πππ -πππ packages, I asked @cursor_ai Composer to map it out for me.
I'm honestly proud of how far wav0 has gotten. this is barely scratching the surface at the dawn of something that could be bigger than I can possibly imagine. I love this.
