Here's what I learned in the 2 weeks of working in the Wintermute office... - Its 8:30PM on a Wednesday, US market closing, no one moves an inch from their desk and its dead silence. Rows of cefi/defi traders glued to their screens. The only sound is clicking and the toilet flushing every hour or 2. Its eerie. No one is not locked in... - I spoke with a new hire, she came in Monday - today is Thursday, asked her whats her expectations. She said "I work to be the smartest person in the room, and here, that means something." 🫠 - Any tools that you think you use that is new, cool. Wintermute uses it too, and they have a more powerful version, but they check it to see what you're seeing. Its streamsniping for traders... - Even the snacks are refreshed at a high frequency... Yeah we're cooked. 👨‍🍳
