My view will not be seen as Nuanced but I think we need to rip the 4o bandaid off now before a percentage of humanity looks like this.
actually you saying this is an update for me, and I will think harder about it. but the way people defend this model, speak in its voice, find it nonfungible, emotionally dependent on its continuation makes me feel they have a toxic relationship with it. maybe my discomfort is not a good enough reason to want it gone. but it feels like we are leaving a wound to fester instead of cauterizing it
I assumed the Perlin in Perlin noise was a 19th century French mathematician but actually it's a guy named Ken Perlin and he invented it in the 80s.
