Trans surgery is carried out “under the radar” with misleading diagnoses in Australia’s hospitals, and surgeons worry they may “get into trouble” with the country’s taxpayer-funded Medicare system, according to a report from the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Surgeons performing procedures such as double mastectomies and hysterectomies for patients who reject their female sex also fear not being covered against litigation by medical indemnity funds, especially in the public sector. genderclinicnews.com/p/the-u…

The desire for profit is clear. Body modification and cosmetic plastic surgeries done to a healthy body is for the purpose of fashion - not healthcare. tunefm.net/2023/12/20/gender…

Are we doing the trials in Nuremberg again or somewhere else?

Questions arising: Why would the plastic surgeons' medical college training curriculum contain a specific section on trans surgery? And, why would all GPs, psychiatrists and surgeons need to learn about it? "GCN asked the ASPS if it could point to any robust studies showing clear health benefits for trans surgery and whether it approved of the practice of using false or misleading diagnoses. ASPS said it did not have a spokesperson available." Meanwhile the May 2025 US HSS Report found "medical colleges are creating a perception there is evidence". But have they read it? @RACGP @RACSurgeons @PlastSurgAus @Ahpra @ACSQHC @NACCgovau #MedicalMisogyny #SaveMedicare #evidence

I hope they are sued into the ground - imagine performing double mastectomies and hysterectomies on healthy girls. This is medical battery.

Here's a novel idea. Maybe don't do the surgeries in the first place? Go back to doing it for breast cancer patients only?

Litigation is key to stopping exploitation of vulnerable people through 'blind' positive affirmation in gender 'care'. There are some legitimate cases as in the past but social contagion has caused the massive increase and this needs to be acknowledged. QT/GI makes a lot of £££'s

Not worried about harming children, just worried about being sued for it later on.

Good. Good they are afraid. We need more medical insurers to stop covering this ticking time bomb quackery

You have to remember that the Medical Board of Australia’s crack down on cosmetic surgery, including breast augmentation and cosmetic genital surgery, does not include gender affirmation surgery.

wait, so they can get sued if a sex change surgery fails to change the patient's sex?
