I’m also writing a science fiction novel with the Kimi K2 Thinking model, chapter by chapter. As a big sci-fi fan, I’d rate its creativity and prose at least four out of five stars! Great job, @Kimi_Moonshot!
Kimi-k2-thinking is incredible. So I built an agent to test it out, Kimi-writer. It can generate a full novel from one prompt, running up to 300 tool requests per session. Here it is creating an entire book, a collection of 15 short sci-fi stories.

⚠️Just a friendly reminder that you won’t be able to copyright the purely AI-generated output.
I don’t believe in copyright so perfectly fine for me ☺️

It’s one of the best for writing after 4.5

How does it stack up against GPT-4.5 for your tasks? I did some quick A-B tests, and honestly, I much prefer 4.5.
I’d say on par maybe a bit better for me.

Very interesting! Do you write an outline first to plan the plot, design characters, and then have the Ai flesh it out for you to proofread? I may try to write a fan fiction Star Trek episode.

I had Kimi do all that just gave the overall topic :)

It's good for this, but the content restrictions/moderation doom it, preventing it from creating particular kinds of entertainment (e.g., horror, violent action, etc.).

Four stars from a real sci-fi enjoyer means it’s legit..
How are you doing it?
Same here, always wanted to write but my calling is coding, I couldn't find the time to do it. 24/7 coding with AI Agents atm. Try giving your novel to grok imagine and let it create scenes maybe make a movie out of it? Just brain storming.
Cool, ask it about oppressive rulers, the loss of human rights, and the problems with communism, I'll wait.
Cool. What was the reason for 1 star loss?
seriously? I need more real world performance.
for me the writing was fine since GPT 3.5. but i did notice huge difference with writing in slovene (my language). before there were always some very weird unnatural sentences. gemini 2.5 was the first, that wrote perfect fluent slovene and explained things very intuitively
For anything creative writing–related, @AnthropicAI makes a huge impact. I would greatly recommend bringing Claude 4.5 Sonnet as editor and co-writer into the mix. And for genre writing there's always @sudowrite, of course.

It’s one of those things where experts in the field can see all the massive problems with AI output that regular people don’t pick up on.
Hope you share it with us when it's complete, @DeryaTR_ ! Sounds fun and meaningful 🤝

It's good to see how far AI has come in creative writing.. but do you think it can genuinely capture the nuances of human emotions and storytelling? I wonder if readers might still prefer stories crafted by people.. even if AI-generated prose is technically impressive.
I'm not sure what happened, but Kimi Thinking isn't nearly as good at creative writing as the non thinking version. It has a very flat writing style and lacks any kind of emotion. I recommend using the older model for creative writing.
Wow! better than Claude's flop... about a consistent 1/5 stars for the read... any chance you can share the agent?
An AI novel isn’t written for the masses — it’s written for the mind that lives inside it. That’s the future of personal immersion.
why are there so many doctors here talking about fiction and stories and kimi LOOL
