Getting rid of filibuster is a sign of failure that will come back to bite GOP when Dems are in power. Era of immediate gratification. It's an admission the GOP could not lead by consensus. One of the GOP's last gasps before fading permanently into minority party status.

I've always defended the filibuster but I'm done. If the Republicans don't do it to pass the things that Trump has outlined, the Dems will do it later. Manchin and Sinema were the only Dem holdouts when they tried it and they are gone now. We need to do it NOW!!
